Terms of Service
The rules for using the Perler Beads browser-based pattern maker and its generated patterns.
Last updated: 2026-07-23
Effective date: July 23, 2026
1. Acceptance of These Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Perler Beads at perlerbeads.cc, including its pattern maker, editor, material estimates, and export tools (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the Service.
2. The Service
Perler Beads is a free, browser-based tool that converts photos and pixel art into fuse-bead patterns. The core Service can be used without creating an account. Image conversion and editing take place locally in your browser, and the core pattern maker does not upload your source image to our servers.
We may add, remove, limit, or change features and supported formats, or suspend all or part of the Service for maintenance, security, legal, or operational reasons. We do not promise that every feature will always be available.
3. Eligibility
You must be legally able to agree to these Terms. If you are not old enough to enter into a binding agreement where you live, you may use the Service only with permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian.
No account is required to use the pattern maker.
4. Your Images and Generated Patterns
You retain the rights you already hold in images and other content you choose to process. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the rights and permissions needed to use that content. Do not process or share content that is unlawful or infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights.
We do not claim ownership of patterns you create with the Service. Subject to these Terms and any third-party rights, you may use your generated patterns for lawful personal or commercial craft projects. This permission does not grant you rights in an underlying photo, character, logo, artwork, trademark, or other protected material that you do not own.
Generated patterns may be derived from your source content. You are solely responsible for reviewing a pattern before using, publishing, selling, or relying on it.
5. Acceptable Use
You may not:
- use the Service in violation of applicable law or the rights of another person;
- process, distribute, or share content that is illegal, exploitative, hateful, harassing, malicious, or that unlawfully exposes personal information;
- interfere with the Service, bypass security or access controls, introduce malware, or attempt unauthorized access to systems;
- use automated requests, scraping, or other means in a way that disrupts, overloads, or extracts substantial parts of the Service or its datasets without permission;
- reverse engineer or copy non-public portions of the Service except where applicable law or an open-source license expressly permits it;
- misrepresent your relationship with us or falsely imply that a pattern or product is endorsed by us or by a referenced bead brand; or
- use the Service to facilitate fraud or other harmful conduct.
6. Our Intellectual Property and Third-Party Brands
The Service's original software, interface, visual design, text, branding, and other materials are owned by us or licensed to us. These Terms do not transfer ownership of the Service to you. Third-party and open-source components remain subject to their applicable licenses.
Perler, Hama, Artkal, Nabbi, MARD, and other product or company names are trademarks or property of their respective owners. Perler Beads is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by those brand owners. Color names and codes are provided for reference and compatibility only.
7. Pattern Accuracy, Materials, and Craft Safety
Color matching, material counts, board layouts, and exported patterns are estimates. Screen calibration, source-image lighting, image processing, physical bead batches, availability, and manufacturer changes can cause the displayed result to differ from actual beads. Check important colors against your physical bead set and verify quantities before making bulk purchases or beginning a large project.
Fuse-bead projects may involve hot irons, heat, small parts, and other equipment that can cause burns, fire, choking, or property damage if used improperly. Follow the bead and equipment manufacturers' instructions, use appropriate ventilation and protective materials, keep small parts away from young children, and provide adult supervision where appropriate. Never leave heating equipment unattended. The Service provides design assistance, not professional product-safety advice.
8. Third-Party Services and Links
The Service may rely on or link to third-party hosting, analytics, social-media, or other services. Your use of a third-party service is governed by that provider's terms and privacy policy. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party websites, services, content, availability, or practices.
9. Suspension and Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and may clear locally saved data through your browser settings.
We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect the Service or its users, comply with law, investigate abuse or security issues, or address a material violation of these Terms. Where appropriate, we may provide notice or an opportunity to correct the issue.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim all express and implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that a generated pattern will perfectly match your source image, physical beads, pegboards, or intended result.
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we and our contributors, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, crafting progress, materials, or time arising from or related to the Service.
Where liability cannot legally be excluded, it will be limited to the minimum extent permitted by applicable law. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
12. Changes to the Service or These Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service changes. We will post the revised Terms on this page and update the effective date. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice where reasonably appropriate. By continuing to use the Service after revised Terms take effect, you agree to the updated Terms.
13. General Terms
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later. You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our consent; we may transfer these Terms as part of a reorganization, financing, merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
These Terms do not specify a governing law or exclusive court. Applicable law determines any mandatory rights and dispute forum.
